The Paul Revere House (North End, Boston MA, March 2011)

Appreciated that this house was preserved and turned into a museum. I found the tour through the house fascinating.

The most interesting discovery was reading on one of the info plaques that one of Paul Revere’s bells was given to Singapore. The story goes that his daughter, Marie Revere Balestier, had asked for one of her father’s bells and she then presented it to Church of St Andrew back in 1843. She is the wife of Joseph Balestier, first American consulate to Singapore. Thus our island owns the only Revere bell outside of the United States. That is something special.
